As former Chief Medical Officer for a Medicare Administrative Contractor, he directed policy development, utilization management, and claims analysis for billions in annual claim volume. His leadership has produced measurable results, including Medicare Trust Fund savings exceeding $1 billion through strategic policy implementation and automated claims editing.
Dr. Sandler has deep expertise in Medicare coverage policy, coding, and reimbursement, having collaborated with national and state specialty societies to shape Local Coverage Determinations across multiple jurisdictions. He has worked directly with CMS to implement National Coverage Determinations.
